Focus: The focus on increasing health literacy lies on the one hand in sensitising the population as well as medical service providers and on the other hand in the development and implementation of projects on evidence-based health information. The focus on strengthening primary care lies in the evaluation and accompanying research on innovative care concepts by means of systematic reviews as well as the development and application of quality indicators, patient reported experience and outcome measures.
Networking: Our team works closely within the Institute with the General Practice and Teaching team and the Evidence-based Medicine team, as well as across the Institute with PD Dr Alexander Avian from the Institute of Medical Informatics, Statistics and Documentation. Furthermore, the team cooperates in many projects with general practitioners and has international collaborations (e.g. Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany; Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway; TU Dresden, Germany).
